Abstract

The impacts of roads on Mexican ecosystems are varied. One of them is the mortality of wildlife due to collisions. In the present work, the run over of fauna in Sonora is reported, with emphasis on Erethizon dorsatum, a species classified with a risk category within NOM-059-SEMARNAT-2010. Carrying out work like this helps us to know which species are affected by roads, and what are the obligatory measures that must be established to mitigate and compensate for the fragmentation that these generate.
