Abstract
Galictis vittata is recognized as a species with wide distribution on the continent, but very rare to observe in the field and with few reports. This note presents a new record of the grison in Honduras, derived from the discovery of an individual killed by a run-over on the CA-5 highway, the western limit of the Azul Meámbar National Park. Since its presence in Honduras has been known, there have only been 41 known records. This report constitutes the westernmost record known in the country, given that there are no reports from the border departments with El Salvador and Guatemala.
