Abstract
Academic life in Mexico has evolved a lot since the first CIERVO column was published in 1995. It is gratifying to see how the number of publications and theses referring to the mammals of Mexico has increased, which speaks positively about the growth of the guild in our country. country. On this occasion we return to this section within the Revista Mexicana de Mastozoología, nueva época with two subsections: the first dedicated to a brief summary of an outstanding article of the year and the second whose purpose is to present a compilation of the theses recently published in Mexico.
